One day, I woke up asking myself is Philippines a safe place to live for my family? I think about it… Because of what is happening around… Bad news here and there. Because of what was happening to my very good friend Jose Luis Gonzalez, the founder, director of Lifeline Foundation, the man behind all the great and wonderful initiatives of Lifeline. (Please check our website, www.justiceforlifelinedirector.com and www.ineedalifeline.org for the full story) What happened to our justice system? Where are the few good men in our government? Is corruption so rampant that life became all about money? Have people become so dull to believe lies so quickly? Have we become so apathetic that we don’t care at all? With all these questioning… something arises in me… HOPE that we can do something. God created man in his image and likeness. God is a JUST God. He hates injustice. I do believe that if we just look deep into our hearts, we all have that hatred against injustice and apathy. We do care. The truth is we are all sick in tired of the corruption, injustice, greed, etc. that are present in our society. TOGETHER let’s stand against them.
And even though it is tough to live by this present times here in Manila, Last night being with Candace, Luis and our whole family was wonderful in itself. Even if the times our rough, I am thankful for that safe place.
This will be your start. Please sign on-line on our petition for justice for Jose Luis Gonzalez. So that your voice will be heard! Don’t even think that your signature won’t count. Every signature will count for a call for justice! Enough is enough! Let’s get involved! Let’s make our beloved country a safe place to live for our children’s children. We are calling on your help and support for a very serious matter, as we have been deeply disturbed and angered at the grave miscarriage of justice against Lifeline Director and Founder Jose Luis Gonzalez, who has worked long and hard over the last eight years to uplift and enlighten people's lives in the areas of education, medicine, empowerment and others. Instead of being able to continue to work toward people's good, Lifeline has had to spend our energies and resources in fighting the egregious charges leveled against Mr Gonzalez. We refuse to take this sitting down any longer!
In summary, Lifeline's Director, Jose Luis Gonzalez was charged with ridiculous and completely unfounded lawsuits of estafa and BP 22, and most recently, a warrant of arrest was issued, because of disgruntled former members of Lifeline, who had in 2008 reneged on mutual business agreements. All along the way we've had documentation to prove Mr. Gonzalez innocent of wrongdoing. In fact, the estafa charge was already dropped by the Chief Prosecutor in Muntinlupa when our case was first reviewed! But the couple who made the charges have wealthy and influential backers, and in spite of all our proof to the contrary, the charges and warrant still stand.
It is as if we had been slapped in the face with a series of blows over the last two years!
Had our case been impartially and fairly reviewed we are convinced that no merit would be found to the lawsuits filed against Mr Gonzalez.
In many separate incidents, Lifeline members have been harassed, and our director, Jose Luis Gonzalez, has been grossly slandered. Mr. Gonzalez and his family have been verbally abused, and grave threats have been made against his life.
Enough is enough!
Is this how we treat an innocent person who has done so much to benefit people's lives?
We are calling on your sense of outrage to spur you into action! Sign the petition asking Secretary of Justice Leila de Lima to overturn the unjust charges against Lifeline Director Jose Luis Gonzalez!

MY STAND
I am 45 years old, married with 4 children. I haven't been happy in my entire life not until now . God has been good to me because I know why I am here on earth. Remembering where I came from...Jesus saved me just in time. Got saved 15 years ago. Together with a group of people headed by Jose Luis Gonzalez and Candace Schmidt, different people, different backgrounds, and yet for more than 10 years we've been together. We realized that God put us for a purpose! One thing that bind us for all these years is our love for God and for each other. We willl fight for the truth and for each other!
We have gone through a lot of things as one body. People hated us, accusing us of all sorts of things, but nothing moved us. Together we stand, together we fight! Above all, our aim is to love and care. But sad to say, people hated us for this. We know that God is on our side! As one man, with one heart, one spirit, one mission...we pray. There is a lot of work to do! Look into people's eyes...you will see hopelessness, emptiness, anger, bitterness, confusion, aimless lives. That's what we see! And this is what brings us to our knees, to pray to our God who saves, who heals, who delivers! That is where we focus our energies: what God is doing! We have more interesting things to do and spend our time on.
Our motives are rooted on our red hot love for God and thankfulness for our salvation!!!
